Why learn Reiki?

The one thing I have heard over the last few years of teaching Reiki  is how many people would have learnt it sooner had they known about it. I always joke saying if I were the prime minister it would be taught in schools - and primary schools at that!

Reiki knowledge transformed my life and in turn the lives of many others.

I became started in Reiki through my horse who was very unsettled and not able to trust any people. He had been through many owners and labelled as a 'problem' horse. He was anything but - he just needed help.

I had become introduced to a Reiki healer through my work and one weekend my horse became lame - the first and last time in his life. On a bank holiday monday this kind lady came out and helped him with a Reiki treatment. He came sound almost immediately and despite her protests that she didn't think it was the reiki - I disagreed and was very impressed. My experience of healing horses is that it can vary - sometimes if nothing much is really wrong it can literally take one session, although it is more normal to wait a few days before assessing the treatment!

I agree with many of my students who are now practising reiki healers in their own right - if I'd known how it would change my life in terms of relationships, being more balanced and centred, 'finding' out about me and understanding more about my life I would have learnt it much sooner. An unexpected benefit to me was an increase in psychic and mediumship ability.

I do also believe that Reiki finds you when it's right to be in your life - so no matter what stage of life you're at - now is the right time to learn reiki.
